Board of Directors (BoD) of the Global Fluid Power Society (GFPS)

The votes for the Board of Directors (BoD) of the Global Fluid Power Society (GFPS) are currently being collected!

The vote will define the Directors for the next 4 years cycles (2018 – 2022).

The last day to submit any vote is on March 2nd, 2018.

The new BoD will be formally announced during the gala dinner of the IFK2018 conference in Aachen (Germany), on March 20th, 2018 during lunch (12:30 to 13:30) in room K7.

We are pleased to announce that the second GFPS best paper award was awarded during the 15TH SCANDINAVIAN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FLUID POWER SICFP’17​ – FLUID POWER IN THE DIGITAL AGE​

The recipient of the GFPS best paper award @ SICFP2017 is

 

A. Alexander and A. Vacca for the paper “Real-Time Parameter Setpoint Optimization for Electro-Hydraulic Traction Control Systems​"

GFPS Best Paper Award at JFPS 2017

GFPS will work with the JFPS2017 organizers to identify the recipient of the best paper award.

Award procedure: the conference organizer will select a number (up to 10) of papers candidate for the award, from the results of the paper review process already in place at the conference

  1. A GFPS delegation will review the manuscript and attend the presentation of each candidate paper
  2. The best paper will be selected on the basis of originality, rigorousness, and technical contents of the manuscript and quality of the presentation

The presenting author will receive a prize of $500 and a best certificate. The award will also appear in a proper section of the GFPS website.

GFPS Meeting - June 8

The next GFPS meeting will take place during the SICFP 2017 conference in Linköping, Sweden.

The meeting is scheduled on Thursday, June 8, 3-4pm (room # to be announced)

The meeting is open to all GFPS participating institutions,

but we also welcome participants from other institutions (either academic or non-academic) which are interested in becoming future GFPS participants.

Meeting topics are: status of GFPS; GFPS boards; new GFPS participants; GFPS website; GFPS awards
