Passing of Prof. Nicola Nervegna

It is with a deep regret that we announce the passing of Prof. Nicola Nervegna, a fluid power leader from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. Prof Nervegna passed away on November 12, 2019, after a long fight with a terminal disease. His passing is a huge loss for the fluid power community, particularly the Italian’s one. We would like to dedicate to him simple words, provided to us by his colleague and great friend Prof. Luca G. Zarotti (Imamoter, National Research Council, Italy):

"Man of integrity, he was an enthusiast teacher of Fluid Power for almost thirty years, an accurate visitor of unusual areas of investigation, and a faithful friend of many"

Conference at Purdue (CCEFP Summit)

In memory of Dr. Monika Ivantysynova, Maha Fluid Power Reserach Center at Purdue University, is organizing a Fluid Power Conference in collaboration with Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power. The event will be held on June 4-6, 2019. More details about this event will soon be posted on Fluid Power Events page.

Highlights of Dr. Monika Ivantysynova's principal research

To honor the late Dr. Monika Ivantysynova (1955-2018), a renowned researcher in the field of fluid power, we bring to you the highlights of her most significant research work. Dr. Ivantysynova spent last two decades of her life advocating for displacement-controlled (DC) actuation systems. Read more here to learn more about her research group's effort on developing DC actuated hydraulic hybrid excavator.
