GFPS Best Paper Award at the 2022 IEEE Global Fluid Power Society PhD Symposium

We are happy to share that the twentieth and twenty-first GFPS best paper awards were awarded during the 2022 IEEE Global Fluid Power Society PhD Symposium in Naples, Italy. The best paper awards at GFPS PhD Symposiums are special as the receipients also receive the Backé Medal, dedicated to Prof. Wolfgang Backé.

The recipients of the GFPS best paper award are:

  • Yannick Duensing, Amos Merkel, and Katharina Schmitz from RWTH Aachen University, Institute for Fluid Power and Systems, with the paper "Degradation Identifaction of an EHA Piston Pump by Analysis of Load-Holding States";
  • Xin Tian*, Xiaofan Guo*, Patrick Stump*, Giovanni Dessy*, Andrea Vacca*, Stefano Fiorati**, and Francesco Pintore** from (*) Purdue University and (**) CNH Industrial S.p.A, with the paper "New Hydraulic Control Technologies for Improving the Energy Efficiency of the Hydraulic System of Agricultural Tractors and Their Implements".

We are also happy to announce other two best paper awards:

  • Best Paper Award sponsored by Fluids MDPI to Roman Ivantysyn, Svenja Horn, and Jürgen Weber from the TU Dresden, with the paper "Design of a Lead-Free Slipper Bearing for Low Speed Axial Piston Pump Applications";
  • Best Paper Award sponsored by the local organizers to David Fassbender*, Christine Brach**, and Tatiana Minav* from (*) Tampere University and (**) Bosch Rexroth AG, with the paper "Energy-Efficiency Comparison of Different Implement Power-Train Concepts to Each Other and Between Different Heavy-Duty Mobile Machines".

Congratulations!
